The Mindanao Lady of GK

Margarita Cojuangco

That one could hardly tell who is Margarita "TingTing" Cojuangco from the other pretty ladies in the photo, shows that there is not much difference in looks between a lady from the Christian tribes and one from Muslim Mindanao. More than that, there are no barriers between rich and poor in GK, as TingTing has just recently proven.

TingTing Cojuangco is the latest GK volunteer and in her two-day stint with GK caretaker team members, she was able to secure five classrooms and land for a new GK site in Cotobato. She will be able to deliver much more, and not only in material resources, thanks to her knowledge of Muslim culture plus her personal relationships with key personalities in the Muslim areas of Southern Philippines. TingTing has asked to hold office once a week in the Center and offered to travel around the country as much as three times a month if needed.

Boy Montelibano's camera caught the rainbow in the sky, faint though it is, in this picture of Tony Meloto and TingTing Cojuangco in a GK community. It seems that a rainbow follows GK wherever it goes. Perhaps, this rainbow was a welcome for TingTing not just because she is the latest GK volunteer, now fondly known as the Mindanao Lady but also because her daughter Mikee and son-in-law, Dodot Jaworski work as a team at GK.

The GK TV show has a call-in feature where viewers can call to contribute their services or resources. in this show, it is Mikee and Dodot Jaworski who take the calls

When GK captures a heart, the love and the hope and the courage cannot but capture the hearts of the rest of the family. So is it with TingTing, Mikee, and Dodot.
