Jose Maria Montelibano and his wife Maria, have been volunteers in Gawad Kalinga for just a little more than two years. For two years now, the couple has devoted their time and resources in both actual work in GK projects and in active advocacy. Many couples are in the same line of work, but the GK spirit of "bayanihan" and "kabayanihan" has put a special mark on their work together.

Looking at this family having a jolly time at the mall gives no indication that the parents, Jose "Boy" Montelibano and his wife Maria, work with and for "the poorest of the poor".
